Support a Vagabond

One man can be a crucial ingredient on a team, but one man cannot make a team. (Photo: Raymond Brettschneider)
I appreciate you stopping by and checking my articles and blog. All of my articles are written from reading books, meeting people, and experience.
The following is a wishlist of items to support my vagabond lifestyle. You’ll notice a lot of books. If I get books as gifts, I will read them, I will use them, I will experiment with concepts, and I will, get this, write about them here on Vagabond Insider. Don’t think of it as buying a gift for me really, think about it as an investment if you like my articles.
Either way, please don’t feel obligated to purchase anything and definitely don’t feel pressured to buy me anything. Whatever you decide is fine by me, though I like it when you read my articles and comment.
Thanks for all the support! When you need an address to ship it to, email me vagabondinsider (at) gmail (dot) com.
If these items on the wish list are too much, buy me a cup of tea. I don’t drink coffee.
Thanks again! (that button is huge! Don’t know why, it is awesome)

Were your parents devastated that you quit your job?
What would you suggest to someone who wants to move to Texas for lower tax, like you did, but doesn’t have any degree? Get a minimum wage labor job while trying to build a blog/website on the side until it becomes a success?
My parents were both devastated and proud in ways. My mom currently is not talking to me. She will in time.
I would suggest you look into other online ventures as you build your blog/website. You can get a higher than minimum wage job in Texas with some skills and persistence. Luckily it is very inexpensive to live in Texas, so you should be fine.
You can try being a Search Engine Evaluator while you build your business, you’ll find a company named Lionbridge which hires those. The pay is $17-20, it is up to how good you are with a computer and internet to get accepted.
The lower tax doesn’t really matter much until you are making more income, California took over 4,000 from my salary last year, so it is worth it for me to move and start my business in Texas.
Let me know if you want more information about anything.
